Todd Mezrah, CEOToday, mapbenefits® has advanced through seven generations, from version 1.0 to 7.0. Seamlessly integrating consulting expertise with enterprise-grade technology, it delivers configurable tools for plan design, compliance, and administration.
mapbenefits® sets itself apart from traditional administrators through a suite of advanced platform capabilities. It is the only known NQDC solution in the United States to offer mobile enrollment, among other things, expanding accessibility for participants. The platform also supports equity compensation deferrals, a rare feature in the market, and incorporates proprietary P&LIR Technology that automates asset-liability reconciliation, enabling plan sponsors to manage their P&L exposure and balance sheet impact more effectively.
“Our decision was to be different and to be memorable. The commitment to differentiation has given us the competitive advantage we needed to better compete to win,” says Todd Mezrah, CEO of mapbenefits®.
That competitive edge translates into an intuitive user experience, making traditionally complex plans, such as nonqualified deferred compensation, accessible and manageable for plan sponsors, corporate clients, and participants. The platform’s front-end interface is intuitive, making it incredibly easy to generate reports, access participant statements, and track fund-specific returns.
Technology Built for Precision and Performance
Built on Salesforce’s Force.com infrastructure, mapbenefits® comprises over 4.2 million characters of code and connects with nine major insurance carriers, receiving thousands of data feeds from carriers and asset managers. The platform includes over 60 automated workflows with built-in validations and real-time processing, enabling rapid plan creation and reliable administration at an enterprise scale.
The firm executes approximately 6,000 platform enhancements annually, all of which are developed in-house by its team. By retaining complete control over its software architecture, mapbenefits® ensures data security, faster customization, and a lower dependency on external vendors.

Additionally, the platform is fully compliant with Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 409A, which governs nonqualified deferred compensation plans. It accommodates every allowable plan structure, from deferrals of salary, bonus, commissions, and equity to customizable employer contributions and crediting strategies.
The firm begins with a meeting focused on plan design, using a comprehensive six- to seven-page checklist. This provides mapbenefits® with a roadmap to create a fully customized benefit plan tailored to a client’s unique needs and structure.
Built for Urgency and Scale
mapbenefits® doesn’t just support large-scale plans; it moves with the urgency required by real-world business cycles. A standout example involved a corporate client who, anticipating record bonuses, needed to implement a deferred compensation plan to capture upcoming bonuses under a tight IRS deadline. Bonus deferrals had to be elected before June 30, giving the company less than 30 days. In early June, their executive compensation advisor turned to mapbenefits® with a high-stakes request to deliver a complete NQDC solution, including plan design, database setup, online enrollment, funding structure, and participant communication materials, in under a month.
Despite the tight timeline, mapbenefits® delivered an end-to-end solution, including plan design, database setup, enrollment architecture, funding structure, and all supporting materials. The result was a successful rollout that enabled more than 250 executives to defer substantial bonus amounts and accumulate wealth on a pre-tax basis, strengthening their long-term financial planning. This showcased the agility of the SaaS platform and the deep bench of experience across implementation, administration, marketing, and client services, all working in concert to exceed expectations.
With more than 30 years of experience in executive benefits consulting, mapbenefits combines technical capability with subject matter expertise across all facets of NQDC implementation and administration. From initial plan design and legal compliance to participant communications and ongoing financial management, all services are executed in-house to maintain consistency, accuracy, and client confidence.
This holistic approach streamlines every touchpoint for corporate clients, plan sponsors, and participants, positioning mapbenefits® as a long-term partner in modernizing, optimizing, and scaling executive benefit and compensation programs.
